The intern will support front desk operations and contribute to the smooth daily functioning of the Community Centre. Tasks include:
- Greeting visitors and responding to enquiries in person and by phone
- Supporting enrolment processes for programmes
- Helping manage bookings and orient new users of the centre’s spaces
- Assisting with general admin duties: filing, data entry, banking support, and correspondence
- Coordinating with reception/admin volunteers under supervision
- Posting updates on the centre’s Facebook page, website, and the Nelson App
- Attending staff meetings and contributing to team goals
- Assisting with event organsing and other projects
The role provides a hands-on opportunity to learn about inclusive community service delivery and administration in a vibrant and welcoming setting.
