In cooperation with a language school in Wellington we offer our New Zealand demi pair program – a combination of helping a family with childcare and housework and attending an English language course. For 15 to 20 hours childcare and housework per week you will receive free board and accommodation. And while the kids are in kindergarten or at school, you can attend a language course and complete this with an internationally recognized certificate.

Language course – the difference between Au Pair in New Zealand and Demi Pair in New Zealand
With Demi Pair New Zealand you can combine living in a family environment with a language course. Participation in a course is not mandatory, however it is a useful addition, because this way you can improve your English skills and practice them in family life. What kind of course you choose is up to you (the cost of which is not included in the program). Offers are available from General English to Business English to courses with an exam and certificate (Cambridge or IELTS).
In focus – improving English proficiency
With New Zealand Au Pair you will also inevitably improve your English skills, because you are in daily contact with your host family and have to speak English. While the focus of Au Pair New Zealand lies with childcare and household help, the focus of Demi Pair New Zealand lies with improving English.

Multicultural, artistic, exciting, near-nature – this is Wellington New Zealand. The most southern capital in the world is the nation’s political and cultural centre as well as the centre for New Zealand’s movie and theatre industry. Not least because Wellington New Zealand is the home of diverse fashion designers, architects, actors, composers, musicians and artists. Events and festivals invite you all year around and concerts and theatrical performances can be found almost every evening.
Located in the centre of town is the Parliament building as well as historical houses and museums. One of them is the national museum “Te Papa” which was opened in 1998. It is not only fascinating because of its unusual architecture, but also because of the successful mix of entertaining presentations and informative history display – never before have past and present been explained so interestingly.
Wellington New Zealand also has many scenic features to offer: The city is located directly beside the ocean while the forests and mountains surrounding invite you to explore them on foot or by bike. Even though Wellington New Zealand is a large city, it retains a relaxing charm.
