Requirements, Visa, Tips

  • Proof of your English language skills (TOEFL or IELTS certificates, other language certificates such as a Cambridge Certificate might also be acceptable)
  • Graduation from high school in your home country (some universities in New Zealand also require a certain grade point average)
  • Timely submission of all relevant application forms to the university in New Zealand

If you plan to study in New Zealand for more than 3 months you need to apply for a student visa.

Dates and registration

The first semester in New Zealand starts in late February/early March. Usually you need to send application forms to the universities until the end of October of the previous year. The second semester starts at the end of July/the beginning of August – applications usually need to be sent by end of March until end of May. Please note that compiling your application for your studies in New Zealand may take quite some time!
